If the address to the devices by means the interface RS232 takes place in different moments of time or to the address, the union of signals for a few devices can be carried out by means logical OR. Pic. 1 - the resulted flow structure for two signals TxD and RxD.

For a complete interface it is necessary to organize logical OR for signals DTR and DSR.

Logical OR are executed on the impulsive diodes of the D1-D12 type ÊÄ522 and placed in corps the holders of cable connectors DB-9. Splitter RS232 - RS232 - RS232 fully “transparent” for input/output signals. It can be used on different ends of cable of interface RS232, entrance or output, crossed 1:1. The ground wire is used for smoothing of potentials between the devices, and also for defence from a static charge.
