Thyristor with the galvanic isolation from the control circuit

To control powerful thyristors by low-powered electronic circuits is enough problematic sometimes. The use of amplifier or relay is required for this purpose.
Switching on the PCP (photon-coupled pair) light-emitting diode – phototransistor enables to decide this problem. , where – basic value of current on a control electrode, here , and , where - maximally possible current of transistor. The PCP light-emitting diode – a phototransistor can be substituted by a light-emitting diode – photodiode. Such connection of components enables to control powerful thyristor through constant current.
