For RS 232 interface a serial protocol of data communication with a NRZ code is used. For the transmission of this code by the twisted pair of wires it is possible to use a microcircuit MAX 32. On a figure a circuit of such transmission from serial COM port is represented.

Interface powers from the standard connector of DB-9 COM port. Distance between objects depends on speeds of data communication and type of line.
